Marco Andretti, Team RC Cola Chevrolet, No. 26
Marco started 10th and seemed poised for a strong finish when a multi-car crash happened ahead of him on a late restart, and he was swept into the carnage in turn two. He was able to continue, but lost a lap while waiting to restart his Chevrolet. In the final laps of the race, Andretti climbed from 20th into his finishing position of 14th place.
MARCO ON SAO PAULO: "We were there in the end and were coming for Hinch (Hinchcliffe) and got caught up in the wreck," said Andretti who drove the RC Cola Chevrolet to 14th place. "If we had finished sixth or seventh it wouldn't have been terrible... [It was] another bummer day for the RC Cola boys, but we're coming ready for Indy."
After four events on road and street courses, the focus now turns to the 2.5-mile Indianapolis Motor Speedway and the Indianapolis 500.
Practice for the 96th Indianapolis 500 begins Saturday, May 12. Pole qualifying day is Saturday, May 19 with bump day qualifying the following day. The 500 takes the green flag Sunday, May 27. We'll make sure you're with us every lap of the month.
