DISAPPOINTMENT IN MIAMI: Marco and the #26 Venom crew started the Firestone Indy 300 8th off the line and quickly made it up to fourth place. Shortly after his first pit stop, something went wrong with the brakes in the Venom car. Marco was able to guide the #26 machine to the pit stall before a fire ended the Venom Crew's day and 2009 season. Marco finishes his day 22nd putting him 8th in the final driver standings for the year.
MARCO ON FINISHING 22:"I'm really disappointed for the Venom boys tonight. We had a great car for our first stint and once we put some front wing in we have been able to continue to run at the front. After the first stop the brakes hung up and we just started getting slower and slower. By the time we came in it was too late and that was it for the #26 car. It's just a shame to have to end the season this way."
